BOI Knit Lab is a Berlin-based knit development studio exploring the intersection of design, technology, and material innovation. We work with brands, designers, and factories to transform ideas into progressive knitwear solutions—combining technical precision with a creative design approach.

Our practice spans research, development, and prototyping, with a focus on advanced knitting techniques and experimental processes. From early-stage concepts and yarn exploration to fully developed knit structures and prototypes, we support projects at every stage with hands-on expertise and a deep understanding of knit technology.

RESEARCH

We develop swatches for your knitwear collection according to your briefing and moodboard:

DESIGN

We design your knitwear collection according to your brand identity and support you with:

° Technical Drawings
° Worksheets for prototype development
° Fitting
° Tech-pack with grading for production

DEVELOPMENT

° Programming, knitting & finishing
° Samples for your catwalk or lookbook

HIGH-TECH MACHINE

We work with the latest STOLL ADF machine technology that offers advanced knitting techniques for high-end product development between the gauges of 7 and 14.
